【Abstract】
Founded in 2001, the celebrated annual JISF will be held from September 16 to 20, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the event will be adapted to a virtual format. Its online live-streaming opening concert features various music groups from 9 regions of 14 countries, including Taiwan- CUBA BAND, the Chinese orchestra ensemble, and bamboo flute performer Lin Hsiao-Feng, will perform together in this online concert. Their collaborative performance is setting out to interpret traditional Chinese music in contemporary music language, and also makes the overall tonality of the piece more melodic.
